Hello everyone, Matthew Hemenway is here. In this video, I will be doing an analysis of Hailee Steinfeld being cast as Kate Bishop and why she is the right choice to play Kate Bishop. I love this actress. This is an actress when I first saw her in True Grit and played Mattie Ross, I was amazed how good she was when she played the role at 13 or 14 years old. When the movie came out in December 2010, she would have turned 14 years old. She was supposed to be a teenage girl and she was exactly that. She did an excellent job of getting the audience involved with the story. No matter what role she plays, it is in Barley Lethal playing a girl who got trained as a spy who left that life because she did not want to be living that life anymore. She wanted to live a life like a normal teenage girl. She created a life that she said she lived but people did not know she used to be a spy. I loved her as Spider-Gwen or Ghost Spider in Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse. Yes, I know that was an aminated role, but you can feel the emotion and the toughness that character has. I know that the version of Gwen is tough and knows how to deal with stuff that is not always easy. I liked her in Bumblebee as Charlie as a tough nut teenage girl who is with Bumblebee through all the stuff he must go through till the end of that story. I have seen the show Dickinson. She plays Emily Dickinson, a woman ahead of her time like Mattie Ross in True Grit. Emily tells her father at the end of the first season that she is a poet, and she will write poetry no matter what anyone tells her.
The reason I know Hailee Steinfeld is perfect as Kate Bishop as Kate Bishop is everything those other roles that she has played. She is tough and does not take any smack from anyone. She knows how to role with the punches and knows how to adjust when she must. Yes, I am aware that Kate Bishop has a troubled past with her family, but do not any of us have our own problems. I know I have my fair share of my own problems. I went through a horrible accident where I was T-Boned, and my brother was inches away from getting seriously hurt or killed. Both of us were lucky to not have been seriously hurt or killed. Kate in the trailer was dressed as Ronin the assassin that was killing everyone because he felt he lost everything. She was rescued by Hawkeye and was trying to be like him. I was incredibly happy that Marvel had Kate in her traditional purple costume. She wears no mask. Hailee is a dead ringer as Kate Bishop. She looks exactly like her. She has brunette hair like her and when she dressed in the purple costume, she looks like Kate Bishop. Here is a picture to point out that I am right that Hailee Steinfeld is a dead ringer for Kate Bishop. I know that it was only a trailer, but you can feel the energy Hailee brings to playing Kate Bishop. The same energy I was talking about with the other roles she played.
