It was Always Me Season 1 Review and Analysis on Disney+

Blog and Video Description: The series starts with Lupe in Mexico City and goes to Colombia later in the first episode. Lupe is singing and recording a track for her friend in Mexico City before she goes to Colombia. Her friend asks her why do you not sing? You have such a beautiful voice. As Lupe tells her and later tells her father in a flashback, she gets nervous when she signs on stage in Colombia. Wendy tells her later that she has a beautiful voice and why does she not sing in Colombia. It will a be crime, not share that voice to the world. If you want to know more about this, you want to read this blog or watch the video included in this blog.

Hello everyone, welcome to my channel of Matthew Hemenway. This is Matthew Hemenway. I hope you are doing well. I am doing well as I can. Have I got a video for you today? In this video, I will be reviewing and analyzing It was Always Me Season 1 that is currently on Disney+. I will go over several topics in this video. Now on with the review.

What drew me to this series? The answer is the trailer. When I first saw the trailer on YouTube, it made me want to watch it. I will play the trailer in this video. I want to be clear as this trailer belongs to Disney and the artists that created it. I am reviewing this series and using the trailer as an example to help you to know what I am talking about. Here is the trailer right now.

I am back. I hope you got what I was talking about. This should help you with what I am talking about in this video.

The series starts with Lupe in Mexico City and goes to Colombia later in the first episode.

For most of this season takes place in Colombia until it will take the viewer back to Mexico City in the last episode of the first season. I would agree that Lupe has a beautiful voice, and the actress Karol Sevilla is an attractive woman. Lupe is a strong woman in that she does not need people to take care of her. She notices the details and knows that her father gave up smoking. They said that her father died of smoking that caused the gas leak. If she did not want to be a singer, she would make a good detective. Detectives must notice details and that is an important part of the job. Lupe decides to stay as she feels that she cannot leave knowing that her father did not die the way everyone says. He was murdered. Someone wanted him dead.

Lupe meets Noah and she embarks on a musical journey with him as they learn to work together as a band. Lupe and Noah team up in the series to investigate how the Pharaoh died. She believes it to be Lucas Martin. This makes sense as Lucas Martin forges his signature on the form to make the Road of the Pharaoh a thing that would be televised and make money. It would go back to what I was talking about that Greed is the worst sin as I have mentioned in my other reviews

Lupe meets her brother at the competition after she first encounters him at the funeral. It looks like Felipe was not sad when their father died. It takes Felipe and her to the middle of the season to realize that they do not have to hate each other. Felipe’s computer was later used to threaten Lupe by saying go away as someone wants you dead.

Lumina, which is the band made up of Sammy, Angie, and Kevin. Sammy is the leader of the band who has a strange hairdo. Angie has purple streaks in her hair, but she is the roommate of Lupe. She and Lupe become friends and Angie becomes an immense help for Lupe into figuring out what happened to her father the Pharoah. Believe me when I say this, Lupe needs Angie as Angie keeps a level head and understands everything that comes their way. Lupe is smart, but she can let her emotions get the best of her. It is like me. I am smart, but I can let my emotions get the best of me. Sometimes we need people to help us see what we need to see and not think emotionally. If you guys are wondering, yes, I like Angie as a character. She is strong, smart, and beautiful. She and Lupe make a wonderful team.

Kevin has a sister that wants to have everything that Kevin encounters. What I mean is that Kevin’s sister is a thief or a collector maniac. She likes to steal anything of value. When Kevin’s guitar has a problem, Lupe gives Kevin her guitar that was given to her by the Pharoah. Before that happened, Kevin thought it to be unfair for Lupe and Felipe to be in the competition since they were the kids of the Pharoah. It would make sense to think that but Kevin’s feelings to them changed after Lupe gave him her guitar that her dad the Pharoah gave to her. This is where Kevin’s sister takes it and sells it on the black market to make money. Kevin’s sister is a user and will keep using him.

There is a love triangle with Sammy, Kevin, and Angie. It is not what you think. If you know who ends up who? Please leave your answer in the comment section below.

Lupe and Noah start having feelings for each other. What do you think happens with them? If you know the answer, please leave your answer in the comment section below.

This season keeps having twists and turns. The viewer thinks he/she has it figured out. Like with Lupe, you do not always know what will happen. It does an excellent job of not revealing that to the end of the series. It is what I call good storytelling. What the viewer thinks he/she knows is not what he/she thinks.

There is a bald man with a mustache that is let out of jail in this season. Who is he? What does he have to do with all of this? Please leave your answer in the comment section below.

Who is the one that put the sedative in the Pharoah’s drink? Please leave your answer in the comment section below.

Does the Pharoah have his tires slashed? Please leave your answer in the comment section below.

As not to be revealed anymore, nothing more will be revealed here. It does bring the viewer to the climax of this season.

I give It was Always Me, a 10 out of 10. It was well done, fun, and had twists and turns that kept the audience guessing. That is good storytelling. It is always good to never have a story be too predictable. If the viewer cannot predict it, it keeps the viewer guessing and engaged. Thank you for reading.
