Updated: Jan 24, 2023

Synopsis: This video or blog will show the viewer that this episode had a Mandalorian feel. I will go over several topics and point out several Easter eggs that I saw. I also use my experience in the job I currently have in a situation they talk about in this episode. If you want to know more, then you want to watch this video or read this blog.

Hello everyone, Matthew Hemenway here. In this video, I will be reviewing and analyzing the Book of Boba Fett Season 1 Episode 5 currently on Disney+. To be honest with you, this episode was well done. I will go over several topics and point out several Easter Eggs in this episode. I want to also say thank you for helping me reach 100 subscribers on my channel and I need your help to get me more so I can reach 1,000 subscribers. Thank you and now on with the review.

The title of this episode is Chapter 5: Return of the Mandalorian. It starts with the Mandalorian going in a slaughterhouse going after a person who was abusing their workers. He goes in and kills them with his gun and uses the dark saber to stop them. He tells the workers after he has killed the people that were taking advantage of them that they have right to the Republic credits in that place. He leaves and the people go after them. It was cool to see a slaughterhouse in Star Wars.

He goes to his employers and tells them he gave them what they wanted, and he wants to know where the other Mandalorian(s) are. He found them and he has a wound that needs to be healed thanks to the battle at the slaughterhouse. He gets his wound healed by the other Mandalorian and the one that leads them the woman tells him the way of the Mandalorian is not easy.

The female Mandalorian helps to train him with the dark saber, and it is not as easy as it seems. She tells him you are resisting the blade and you need to not fight it. It has a symbiotic relationship, you need to accept, or it will only make it worse not better. It is important to realize that.

He gets in a fight with the other male Mandalorian and for the right to wield the blade. The other Mandalorian fights him, and the battle gets interesting, and he must stay strong in it. He beats him, but it was not easy.

He gets asked by the female Mandalorian, have you taken your helmet off, has it ever been removed. The male Mandalorian says no. The Mandalorian says yes, he has taken it off. As the viewer knows he would have taken it off in the last episode that we saw the Mandalorian in which is Season 2 Episode 8. He was told by the female Mandalorian that he is no longer a Mandalorian.

He leaves the planet on a commercial flight and goes to Tatooine to find a ship. The woman who was in the Mandalorian played by Amy Sedaris got him a ship that was in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. It was a ship issued by the Queen of Naboo. When he flew the ship, it felt like the pod race that Anakin Skywalker did in Episode I as well. It had that feel of it. He gets off Tatooine and gets pulled by two X-wings and they asked him, didn’t you used to fly a Razor crest? Instead of getting in trouble, he got out of there. The officer that did not ask, asked, do you want us to go after him? The other officer told him, do you want to go back to base and file paperwork? This reminds me of paperwork that the police would have you file. It was nice to see or hear something like that.

I will not spoil the ending, but it does get the viewer to the climax of this episode. This episode was a Mandalorian episode and had the feel that you expect to see when the viewer is watching that show. It was nice to see that.

I give this episode, a 10 out of 10 rating. It did an exceptionally excellent job of making you think that you were watching the Mandalorian instead of watching the Book of Boba Fett. It was nice to see Easter Eggs from Episode I and there are those that did not like The Phantom Menace, but this redeems it.
