Hello everyone, welcome to the Matta critic. This is Matthew Hemenway. In this episode of Matta Critic, I will be reviewing and analyzing Star Wars the Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 6 that is currently on Disney+ done by Lucasfilm. I will go over several topics and point out several Easter eggs in this episode. I hope this episode inspires to Read, Watch, and Learn. What Season 2 Episode 6 does is that it picks up where Episode 5 left off. The name of this episode is Tribe. This episode will have all the Bad Batch along with Omega. They will have to help a Wookie that is a Jedi and who was being smuggled to be a slave from Droids who are trying to avoid detection from the Empire. I will give you my rating at the end of the review.

Please consider checking out my Facebook page to get links and check out the posts from YouTube, and Patreon. I have been posting links to my blog on my Facebook page, that you would want to check out at www.mattacritic.com/blog. The blog will have the written portion of the review as well as the YouTube video included there. Now on with the review.

As was mentioned earlier in the episode, the Bad Batch along with Omega will have to help a Wookie who is a Jedi to escape from Droids that are smuggling as a slave. They want to do it for a price. Echo and Omega both do not like being on the ship that the Droids are using. They must help the Wookie and the rest of the Bad Batch agree with that sentiment. They will help this Wookie who has force powers. They showed this in the trailer of the Bad Batch Season 2. Rewatch the trailer and you will see it there. I will have you watch the trailer now to see what I am talking about.

I am back. They later help a Wookie to get back to Kash etch. Kash etch is the home planet that the Wookies reside and are from. This episode has an Avatar feel to it. It reminds the viewer of the first film where the Wookies tell Omega and the Bad Batch that they can talk to the trees. The Avatars believed that in that film as well as the Wookies do here.

Traducians will show up in this episode. Why is that important? It is important to remember the first time a Traducian showed up in the Star Wars universe was in the movie Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Bosk is a traducian and is a bounty hunter, no different than Boba Fett. These traducians behave like that as one of the leaders told his crew as he said that he will pay his crew if they can find this Wookie that is a Jedi.

The Clone troopers are also with the Traducians in this episode. They are hunting the Wookies and they are burning down the forest. This is accurate to deforestation that we have seen on Earth in the real world. It has environmental consequences as it can cause more pollution and climate change to accelerate if trees are not in the atmosphere to help soak up the extra carbon and create the oxygen that humans need to breathe in.

As Hunter tells the Wookie leader who is the Matriarch of the group. Yes, the females are the ones that lead the tribe. Their African tribes are Matriarchal in nature. A good example would be the first Black Panther film as the ones that protect the Black Panther are female. This proves the point that is being made in this episode. Hunter tells her, we used to be soldiers of the Republic, but we do not see Eye to Eye with the Empire. He lets her know that we will help you as you do not have to fight this battle alone.

As not be revealed, nothing more will be revealed here. It does bring the viewer to the climax of the episode and set up Episode 7.

I will give you, my rating. I give Star Wars the Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 6, a 10 out 10. It was fun, but it was cool to see a Wookie, a Jedi in the Star Wars Universe. It is important to show that Wookies are more than just creatures, they know more than to use the crossbow blaster that Chewbacca also known as Chewy used in the Star Wars movies. This kid (Wookie) knows how to use a light saber and can wield force as good as any Jedi. We are connected to Trees as was shown in this episode in the Bad Batch. Like in Avatar, the Avatars and the Wookies believed the trees communicate with them and tell them stories. The trees will help them with the Traducians and the Clone troopers. The Wookies believe in the simple life like the Ewoks did in Return of the Jedi. It reminds the viewer of that feeling in how the Wookies have their living quarters designed. Look at Return of the Jedi and watch this episode and you will see the comparison to that film in this episode of the Bad Batch. The tribe nature of the Wookies is remarkably like the Ewoks in Return of the Jedi. Answer this question, what happens at the end? Does Omega and the Bad Batch help to defeat the Traducians and the Clone Troopers? Do they enjoy the Wookie culture and food that they offer? Please leave your answers in the comment section below. Thank you. Remember, please be respectful and do not be ugly to people just because you do not agree with them as you are welcome to leave your thoughts of this episode in the comment section below. Thank you.
