Hello everyone, welcome to the Mattacritic. This is Matthew Hemenway. In this episode of Mattacritic, I will be reviewing and analyzing Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 11 that is currently on Disney+ done by Lucasfilm. The name of this episode is called Metamorphosis. I will go over several topics and point out several Easter eggs in this episode. I hope this episode inspires to Read, Watch, and Learn. This episode will deal with the team being mad at Cid for not helping them with their ship and she wants the Bad Batch along with Omega to scavenge parts off a ship that had a creature that the Empire wants to use as a weapon. I will give you my rating at the end of the review.

As was mentioned before in this review, the Bad Batch with Omega are not very happy with Cid. That is understandable as I personally would have been mad if someone left me stranded and did not help me, I would have been upset as well. They are ticked off to say the least. This goes back to the episode where the Bad Batch along with Omega this is the episode where it had Tech, Wrecker, and Omega in it. They helped Cid in Episode 4 where that episode was called Faster. As was mentioned before in the previous 2 episodes, they helped her in the first season when Randy Durand took over her establishment as well.
Cid wants them to go to a planet and scavenge parts of a ship. They are reluctant to do this, but she tells them that she will cut them in with 50% of the profits. Tech tells them that they need to be careful with Cid since she knows about them. This is true and they do need to be careful.
They do go to this planet and what they discover is a creature that feeds on energy. This creature reminds me of the original transformer where there was a creature that fed on energy and that creature needed to keep getting fed. They both share one thing in common; the more energy they feed on, the bigger they become. The creature does grow in this episode. Shooting it with blasters will not stop it. It only deflects that energy from it.
Hunter and Wrecker try to stop the creature and they cannot. It only deflects it, and it ends up going to the village and going after the power grid. The Star Wars universe does have power lines and those power lines in it. It looks like what one would see here in the real world. That is cool and it helps to make a real connection like this in this episode.
The Empire is after this creature. There are other things happening in this episode. The audience does see what happened to the chief Scientist who is of Kamionan origin. As she points out to Doctor Hemlock, she will cooperate with the Empire since the Empire destroyed her home. This is understandable, if one destroys a person's home, a person would not be that cooperative.
As not to be revealed, nothing more will be revealed here. It does bring the viewer to the climax of this episode and set up episode 12.
I will give you, my rating. I give Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 11, a 10 out 10. It was fun and it helped to fill in important storylines. It was important to know what happened to the chief scientist of Kamionan descent. She is the one that has a close relationship with Omega. This can be concerning as someone could go after Omega again. The team would need to be ready. It is where it needs to be. Of course, the Empire would build another weapon. It would make sense and they want to use that creature as a means of controlling the population of the Empire. They do not want the citizens of the Empire to rebel against it. This is the reason for the Imperial Stormtrooper to be created. This makes sense as was mentioned before in other reviews. Thank you.
