Star Wars The Bad Batch Season 1 Review and Analysis
Updated: Jan 24
Hello everyone, welcome to the Matta critic. This is Matthew Hemenway. In this episode of Matta Critic, I will be reviewing and analyzing Star Wars Bad Batch Season 1 that is currently on Disney+ done by Lucasfilm. I will go over several topics in this episode. I will give you my rating at the end of this episode. I hope this episode inspires to Read, Watch, and Learn. What Season 1 does it picks up where Revenge of the Sith left off. It helps the viewer to know what happened there. It has the clones they call Clone Force 99 where they are the elite bunch of clones. They are not like the other ones where they look like Jinga Fett. They are on the run from the Empire. I will give you my rating at the end of the review.
Please consider checking out my Facebook page to get links and check out the posts from YouTube, TikTok and Patreon. Speaking of Facebook, I have been posting videos coming soon for YouTube and Patreon. I also have been posting videos coming soon for YouTube in the community section of my YouTube channel. Now on with the review.
The clones must go on the run like I mentioned before, and they must take Omega with them. Tech is smart and knew that Omega was a clone like them. Hunter is the leader of the pack and is like Wolverine and Rambo. Wrecker is the one that is strong, and he loves to fight, not kill in cold blood. Echo looks like Lobot and that is weary of anyone like Admiral Tarkin. Crosshairs is the sharpshooter and more likely to join the Empire as he believes all good soldiers follow orders no matter what.
The clones will run into Cut who is an old friend of theirs. They need help with what it means to desert. They learn from him that you just must keep moving and not allow yourself to get caught. This is the secret he told them. Hunter wants to leave Omega with Cut and his wife, but she wants to stay with him and the other clones and does.
The clones will run into Cid who helped the Jedi during the clone wars. The clones also earlier ran into Saw Guerra who was trained by Obi Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. As Saw told them, the clone war is over, but the civil war is just beginning. The clones learn from Cid that they must become Mercenaries. They need the money that she will provide them with as mercenaries. Cid teaches Omega how to shoot and calls her arms noodle arms. She thinks that Omega’s arm could use a little more muscle.
Omega in this season will get hunted by Cad Bane as the Caminoans want her back as she is special. They want her. The female one who is the scientist wants to protect Omega. The prime minister is weary of this alliance with the Empire. He knew where they stood with the Republic, but not the Empire. Admiral Tarkin wants to have recruits as they will be cheaper according to him.
This season will have Fennec Shan who is played by Min Nga Wen who also has been in Marvel’s Agents of Shield. This role suits her as when she played Melinda Maye as both characters are strong characters.
It will also have Hera as a younger version of herself from Rebels which she is in Episode 11 and 12 of the first season. It also has Cain as a younger version of himself from Rebels in the first episode of this season.
The clones will have to rescue Omega back from Cad Bane. Hunter later gets taken and sent back to Camino. The clones must rescue him along with the help of Omega.
Season 1 moves fast and keeps the viewer on their toes. It is fun.
As not to be revealed, nothing more will be revealed here. It does bring the viewer to the climax of Season 1 and set up Season 2.
I will you give you, my rating. I give Star Wars Bad Batch Season 1, a 10 out of 10. It was fun, but kept the viewer engaged. It has twists and turns. Hunter thought he could take Cad Bane, but Cad Bane beats him in a gunfight. This I would have mentioned in the Book of Boba Fett Season 1 Episode 7 Review and Analysis which you can watch on this channel. Cad Ban beat Boba Fett even though Boba Fett is a good shot. Boba was a better fighter than Cad in terms of hand-to-hand combat not in a gun fight. This is no different than Hunter. It is faithful to Star Wars, and it will make the viewer want to see the second season.
