In this episode of Matta Critic. I will be reviewing and analyzing Star Wars Andor Season 1 Episode 9 that is currently on Disney+ done by Lucasfilm. I will go over several topics in this episode. I will give you my rating at the end of this episode. The name of this episode is Nobody’s Listening. Now on with the review.

This episode begins with where the last one left off. Bix is in the machine that had Pak in it, and they are going to torture her with the device. The device is designed to read her mind and get information from her. The device is no different than what Darth Vader used on Princess Leia to get the information for the secret rebel base in a New Hope. They wanted information about who the contact was and where Cassian Andor is. They hoped to find out who Axis was but did not. As Bix tells Daedra Meara, you are ISB, the worst of the worst. They would have discovered that Cassian Andor was clean shaven. That proves to ISB that the ones that pulled off the Aldhani robbery were clean shaven. They see that connection there.

Cassian Andor is still on Narkina 5 working in the factory that the Empire has him working in. As he tells Andy Serkis’ character whose name is Kino Loy that the Empire is using us. We are not that important to them; we are just slaves. As he points out, they are cheaper than droids. As I would have told you, the Empire is using the excuse to arrest these people and use them as slave labor. They are to work here and do what they are told. They build the equipment the Empire uses.

The old man named Olaf that was working at Cassian Andor’s table had a stroke in this episode and he dies because of the stroke. The doctor told them that there was no way to save him. The doctor gives the old man an injection of a chemical, and those chemical speeds up the process of killing him faster.

In this episode, the viewer finds out that Vel Sartha is related to Moth Mothma. It is shown that Vel comes from money, she tells Moth that we are fighting a force that is dark, and we must understand that. Taye later tells Moth Mothma that she needs to do a deposit to make sure before the Empire notices your money disappearing out of certain accounts. Taye suggests that she uses a guy that could do that. She tells him, this guy is a thug, and we cannot trust him.

The ISB has picked up a person of interest. They plan to make it look like an accident to lure some of the rebels they are looking for. As to Cassian Andor, they want to keep his old feeble mother alive to use as bait to lure Cassian Andor. What they do not know is that they have him working as a slave in their factory, but in his assumed name.

As not to be revealed anymore, nothing more will be revealed here. It does bring the viewer to the climax of the story and set up Episode 10. It leaves questions that still need answering.

I will give you, my rating. I give Star Wars Andor Season 1 Episode 9, a 10 out 10. It was fun but shows the viewer the reality of war. It shows how a corrupt government like the Empire wants to stay in power at all costs. They are willing to do whatever it takes and will hurt those that threaten their power. It shows in that factory that the Empire uses the prisoners for, they do not care what happens to them if they keep working. To the Empire, the slaves, they use in these prisons are numbers not people. You have no rights when you are a slave. Cassian is working on a way to get out of the prison as he told Andy Serkis’ character named Kino Loy, the Empire does not care what happens to them. It will be difficult for the escape to happen since it is over water, and they need to figure out how to get on a ship to get off Narkina 5 with the prison being over water. Moth Mothma is telling the Senate her concerns, but people are being rude and not listening to her. They interrupt her every time that she speaks about it.
