She-Hulk Attorney at Law Season 1 Episode 9 Review and Analysis on Disney+

Blog and Video Description: In this episode of the Matta critic, I will be reviewing and analyzing She-Hulk Attorney at Law Season 1 Episode 9 that is currently on Disney+ done by Marvel Studios. I will go over several topics in this episode and review. I will let you know my rating at the end of this episode. The name of this episode is called “Whose Show is this?” This episode starts off with Jennifer Walters, She-Hulk. It reminds the viewer of old Marvel TV shows done in the past. It looks like the Hulk TV show done in the 1970’s. It was one where the viewer sees the show and it says she-Hulk is a monster that cannot be controlled. If you think of the Hulk, it is remarkably like Frankenstein. The Hulk has the look of Frankenstein and She-Hulk has the look of his wife. Yes, Frankenstein has a wife. It reminds the viewer of that. This is appropriate since Halloween is approaching. If you want to know more about this, you want to read this blog or watch the video included in this blog.

Hello everyone, welcome to the Matta critic. This is Matthew Hemenway. I recently have changed my brand from Matthew Hemenway to the Matta critic. Whether you followed me or not, I do detail review and analysis of texts. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from UNCC, and I am a 4th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. This makes me uniquely qualified to do this. How many people can claim to have both of those at their disposal? I can tell you if the story works or not or if the fighting sounds or looks realistic. I will never rush a review out and you know that you will get a quality review from me. Please check out my Facebook page of Matta critic where I will post links to YouTube, Patreon, or TikTok.

In this episode of the Matta critic, I will be reviewing and analyzing She-Hulk Attorney at Law Season 1 Episode 9 that is currently on Disney+ done by Marvel Studios. I will go over several topics in this episode and review. I will let you know my rating at the end of this episode. The name of this episode is called “Whose Show is this?” Now on with the review.

This episode starts off with Jennifer Walters, She-Hulk.

Jennifer is in the cell in the Damage Control prison that Emil Blonsky had locked up in. She has Mallory Book, Pug, and Nikki Ramos coming. Jennifer says the person who heads up Intellengenica needs to be held accountable. Mallory tells Jennifer, "All the public sees is a raving monster that cannot control her actions." Jennifer is angry as rightly so as that person invaded her privacy by hacking in her computer and her smartphone. Mallory tells her that the DA will drop the charges if you agree to certain conditions. Jennifer tells her, what is that? Mallory tells her, if you agree to wear an ankle monitor and not turn into, She-Hulk again. Jennifer agrees to that as she does not want to sit in jail.

As was shown in the last episode, Hulk King heads up the website Intellengencia and he posted on there that She-Hulk does not deserve her powers. He claims that she stole her powers from the Hulk. As was shown in the first episode of this season, Jennifer got her powers from her cousin Bruce Banner when his device kept him from changing and he was bleeding, and she had an open wound which allowed his blood to get in her system which transformed her into a Hulk.

Jennifer is forced to quit her job and she must move in with her parents to get away from the media frenzy that is taking place at her house. Her father is spraying a hose at the reporters. He tells them, "I do not care if there is a drought, I have plenty of water pressure for days." Jennifer is feeling stressed, and she says, I know I said I wanted not to be a Hulk anymore, but this is not how I imagined it would be. It is no different than Spider-Man saying he does not want to be Spider-Man anymore, but he realizes that being Spider-Man is a part of him and he can never get rid of it. Jennifer is She-Hulk and not changing to her, will not change that. We all have sides to us that we would like to get rid of, but we all must realize that it is a part of us and denying it will not make it better. It only makes it worse. In her room is a poster of Legally Blonde and Erin Borkovich both legal films.

Jennifer goes to see Emil Blonsky after this happened to her. She needed to talk to someone who would listen to her and understand what she was going through. She knows Emil has been through this and she decides to go to the mediation retreat. She needs to talk to him and see what is going on. Jennifer needs to get his advice. This happens after she tries to text Bruce and Emil.

Jennifer is at the retreat with Wrecker who attacked her in the third episode of this season. She asks him where Emil is. He tells her he is doing some private event at the Lodge. Jennifer goes to see him and that is where the viewer sees Todd. If you do not want to know what I am about to say, pause the review, watch the episode, and come back to the review once you are done. Todd is Hulk King, the one Jennifer dated in the fourth episode of this season. That was a twist. I thought Todd was creepy, but I was not expecting him to be the Hulk King. Jennifer turns int She-Hulk and is so frustrated at this happening as well as Emil being there and Bruce showing up as the Hulk and Titania. She jumps through the screen that you would see on Disney+ and if you are in the Marvel Studios section of it. Jennifer wants to see Kevin. Yes, the viewer believes you would see Kevin Feige, but Marvel does not do that. This I will not reveal what they do, watch the episode and you will see. I was surprised at what they did, and I think you will be as well.

As not to be revealed anymore, nothing more will be revealed here. It does bring the viewer to the climax of this season and end it in a way that is very satisfying. It ends the way; you hope it will.

I will now give you, my rating. I give She-Hulk Attorney at Law Season 1 Episode 9, a 10 out of 10. It was fun, does an excellent job of mixing the legal drama with the superhero. It was funny as this is supposed to be a comedy. It was cool to see She-Hulk break the fourth wall and go up to Kevin and tell him that she wants her show to go in a different direction. Jennifer asks for a certain person to come back when talking to Kevin. If you know who it is, please leave your answer in the comment section below. It will set up a possible live action Agents of Smash. She teased Red Hulk in the last episode. Who made a surprise cameo appearance in this episode connected to that. You can watch the cartoon version of Agents of Smash on Disney+. I will leave a link to that series in the description below if you are watching this video on YouTube. Thank you.
