Hello everyone, welcome to the Matta critic. This is Matthew Hemenway. I recently have changed my brand from Matthew Hemenway to the Matta critic. Whether you followed me or not, I do detail review and analysis of texts. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from UNCC, and I am a 4th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. This makes me uniquely qualified to do this. How many people can claim to have both of those at their disposal? I can tell you if the story works or not or if the fighting sounds or looks realistic. I will never rush a review out and you know that you will get a quality review from me. Please check out my Facebook page of Matta critic where I will post links to YouTube, Patreon, or TikTok.

In this episode of the Matta critic, I will be reviewing and analyzing She-Hulk Attorney at Law Season 1 Episode 8 that is currently on Disney+ done by Marvel Studios. I will go over several topics in this episode and review. I will let you know my rating at the end of this episode. Now on with the review.

The episode begins with Leap Frog who was fighting a couple of criminals. His boots malfunctioned and he wanted to blame the manufacturer. The manufacturer was none other than Luke Jacobson who was designing She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters’ clothes. Jennifer lets him know that there is a possibility that you have a case. Jennifer thought that he was telling her the truth, but this is not the case.

Jennifer goes to Holliway telling him that this is going to be hard. This is a conflict of interest since she is getting her clothes made by Luke Jacobson. Holliway tells her that this should not be any harder than you were representing the Abomination especially with him trying to kill her cousin Bruce Banner, “The Hulk.” Jennifer goes to Luke Jacobson as the She-Hulk and tells him that you need to admit to this mistake. As Luke tells her, I do not make mistakes, I make miracles. He rips her dress after she tells him that she will be suing him.

In the courtroom, Jennifer is with Leap Frog AKA Eugene, and she sees Luke Jacobson without an Attorney present. The judge that oversees this case is the same one that would have been in the case that Dennis Bukowski brought up against Luna the shapeshifting light elf. The judge asks Luke, "Are you representing yourself. Luke tells him, of course I am not representing myself. Luke gets none other than Matt Murdock AKA Daredevil to represent him. This will be the first time since Spider-Man: No Way Home that we have seen Matt Murdock AKA Daredevil on screen. Remember in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Matt Murdock had a small role in that movie. He represented Peter Parker when he got accused by Mysterio of killing him. He represents Luke and when the case proceeds, it is discovered that Leap Frog did not follow the manufacturer’s instructions. He put jet fuel in his rocket boots and Luke tells him at the hearing, my instructions clearly stated not to put jet fuel in there. The judge decides on Luke in this case. If you do not follow the manufacturer’s instructions, then there will be consequences.

Luke is Edna in MCU. He has that arrogant attitude, and he is like her in that he makes suits for Super humans. Luke sees this as his calling.

Jennifer is at the Legal Case Bar which was in the second episode of this season. She is talking with Matt Murdock. Matt gives her a drink. He lets her know that you are in a unique situation of doing good. Jennifer Walters can use the law to help people when society fails them, and She-Hulk can help people when the law fails them.

Jennifer also meets up with one of the guys she dated in the fourth episode of this season and his name is Todd. He bought stuff from Wakanda. He says Wakanda forever, come on really. This is a huge Easter egg as the official trailer dropped on YouTube this week. If you all want me to react to it and give you my thoughts, I will be glad to do so. Please let me know in the comment section below if you are watching this on YouTube. If you are watching this on my website, please go to the contact tab and contact me there.

Jennifer later meets up with Matt AKA Daredevil. He is in the Daredevil costume. Jennifer is She-Hulk, and she goes to stop Daredevil from hurting Leap Frog. As Matt later tells Jennifer that Leap Frog took Luke Jacobson. This happens after She-Hulk took off Daredevil’s mask and finds out that it is Matt Murdock. Matt tells her that his name is Daredevil, and they have the music play that was in the Daredevil show that was on Netflix. They team up to go to stop Leap Frog. Matt tells him there is difference between goons and henchmen. One is just hired and the other believes in the cause they are fighting for. They both stop Leap Frog. Leap Frog jumps out of the Lily Pad building, and he ends up with severe injuries. After rescuing Luke, he tells Jennifer that he will make her dress for him.

As not to be revealed anymore, nothing more will be revealed here. It does bring the viewer to the climax of this episode and set up episode 9. Jennifer teased the Red Hulk which will lead the viewer to General Thunderbolt Ross which Marvel will have a show called the Thunderbolts. Two of the characters have been in shows such as Yelena Bulova who was in Hawkeye and John Walker who was in the Falcon and Winter Solider.

I will you give my rating. I give She-Hulk Attorney at Law Season 1 Episode 8, a 10 out of 10. It was fun and it was cool to see She-Hulk in the outfight that she is supposed to wear in the comics and on the TV shows. In the cartoon shows, the suit looks like that. It is purple mixed with white, and it is a short sleeve shirt with shorts. It was cool to see Matt telling Jennifer he can hear the heartbeats. That reference can be found in the 1990’s Spider-Man cartoon show. It was in the Sins of the Fathers season of that show which was season 3. Daredevil told Peter Parker he could hear the criminal’s breathing and one was out of breath. That hearing perception is one of the abilities that he possesses. The 1990’s Spider-Man cartoon show can be watched on Disney+. It also does an excellent job of mixing the legal drama of this show. As Daredevil was telling She-Hulk, you could say he was suffering from mental illness. He was telling Leap Frog that he loves legal dramas which this show is. As I said in my other reviews, this show does an excellent job of mixing the legal drama with the superhero of this series. I loved the humor that has been used in this show as well. It also shows how dangerous lies can be and that lies hurt. Words hurt no matter how much people say they do not.

As a bonus, I will play a clip from YouTube that Marvel used to promote this episode. I will have it play right now. Thank you.
