Updated: Jan 24

In this video or blog, I will reviewing secret society of second born royals. I will go over several topics in this movie. If you want to know more, then you want to watch this video or read this blog.

Hello everyone, Matthew Hemenway here. In this video, I will be reviewing and analyzing Secret Society of Second Born Royals which is currently on Disney+. I will go over several topics in this movie. In the last video, I thanked you for helping me reach 700 subscribers on this channel and still need more help to get to 1,000 subscribers. Now on with the review.

The movie starts off with James Morrow narrating the story of Princess Samantha who is a second born and is not the rightful heir to Illyria, but her sister Eleanor is. Samantha is played by Peyton Elizabeth Lee who has been in the Dogie Kamala Series which is currently on Disney+. Peyton Elizabeth Lee is easy on the eyes and is extremely attractive. Samantha goes by Sam in this movie and like James says is not perfectly regal like her sister Eleanor. Eleanor will take over for Queen Catherine who had taken over after her husband died in a plane crash along with his brother Prince Edmond. In a few weeks; Eleanor will take over the throne.

After James gets the viewer caught up with the back story, Sam is seen walking with her best friend Mike who they both decide to do a concert to protest the monarchy in Illyria. Sam starts off saying, we are here because we want change, down with the monarchy. If you agree Illyria, then make some noise. She and Mike are playing and suddenly Sam hears the police coming. She tells Mike, make a run for it. He gets away and she gets caught. Her mother later sees her and tells her that being a princess is a cool opportunity. Sam reminds her mom, she is 15.

Sam gets to school and meets up with Roxana who is the social media queen. Roxana is concerned about her posts and likes to live online. Roxana tells Sam that she has this many followers and is going to make a difference in Hati. Roxana says, she is bringing awareness. Sam says are you or are you bringing awareness to yourself?

Sam and Mike go to this concert after she deals with Eleanor and this party she did not want to go. It is a club that requires a card, and you must be 21 to get into. Sam uses her abilities to get into the club. Sam starts hearing every noise, that she decides to hit the fire alarm and it causes the sprinklers to come on. She and Mike end up in jail.

The next morning, they get out of jail and Mike’s dad picks up him up. Mike’s dad works as a groundskeeper for the royal family of Illyria. Sam’s mom is there as well. Queen Catherine knew about Sam getting in trouble, but she tells Sam you are going to summer school.

Sam gets to summer school with meeting January, Mateo, and Tuma. Roxana shows up who Sam was not a huge fan of. James finally shows up. James later tells them this was a rouse to get them here, so they can become part of the secret society of second born royals. Sam points out that they are superheroes. James tells her that she is correct.

The reason for these 5 teens to be brought together is stop a prisoner who escaped from prison. His plan is to destroy all royals as he wants to tear down all monarchies as he sees it as his mission. They must go through training and several exercises to be prepared to face the dangers they must face.

There is a scene in the movie, where Sam is taken to a secret level in the castle, and she finds out that there is a bat cave. She also mentions that the one leading the society is like leading the Avengers. These are cool references to hear Bat cave and Avengers. These are both DC and Marvel references.

There is a traitor in the group, and as not to spoil the ending, it will not be revealed here. The movie has twists and turns that are well done. It makes the viewer want to keep watching. The movie ends with there a possibility of there being a sequel.

I give this movie a 10 out of 10 rating. It did an excellent job of keeping the viewer guessing. It showed the teenage angst you expect teenagers to have and did an excellent job of that.
